New hope for Alzheimer’s research with vaccine findings

A recent finding in the fight against Alzheimer’s is showing hope for a vaccine that targets brain proteins.  Alzheimer’s and dementia occur when proteins in the brain have been broken down and therefore we lose signals in relation to memory.  This vaccine is showing evidence of targeting this “bad protein build-up” and researchers are hoping to be using this in humans in the next  3-5 years.
